After her father’s transition in 2019, Ashley York pulled something powerful from her grief: her purpose. She realized that her father’s departure was his final gift to her. In his transition out of this world, where Ashley stood by him offering sound therapy, massage, reassurance, a compassionate ear, and much more, Ashley knew in her bones that by facing her worst fear and making it through to the other side, that there was a deep need for a more holistic approach to transition than hospice workers could offer. (This was something she already knew about birth work from her own experience in conceiving and birthing two children in a system fraught with capitalism and the monetization of humans with wombs.) In the fall of 2019, Ashley began a path of spiritual re-awakening, plant work, getting back in touch with her intuition, getting to know her own shadow, integration, lots of coursework, cultivating her yoga practice, and clearing out her energetic/spiritual “goo” as her reiki master would call it. And by 2023, she decided to finally and fully step into her role to be of service to others.
